MEET THE FOUNDER

Hi, I’m Traci!
I am the founder and owner of Urbane Aesthetiks and Urbane Aesthetiks Academy; Master Injector and Injectable Trainer.
After graduating from Texas Woman's University with my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 2000, I was immediately accepted into the highly competitive Parkland Nurse Internship program. I started working in the Trauma/Neuro ICU at Parkland Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center in Dallas. In 2001, I started my first company, Urbane Scrubs, while working full-time in the ICU. This was my first taste of entrepreneurship and I immediately fell in love with every aspect of being a business owner. Urbane Scrubs sold in 2003 to Landau, and I continued to enjoy bedside nursing in a variety of settings, including the recovery room, plastics, and the ICU. I also spent over a year as a PICC line nurse.
During this time, I also offered consulting for other companies, turned Pro in the NPC and offered personal training. I became a clinical cardiothoracic vascular clinical specialist and also got involved in medical sales as a clinical thoracic educator for a chest drain company. Here, I was thriving in a role that allowed me to educate and share my skills, which I loved!
As much as I enjoyed being in a hospital setting, my love for entrepreneurship led me to pursue direct sales in the health and wellness sector in 2010. I led a large team, spoke at national events, and learned daily about the inner workings of a successful business. Around this same time, I also received my first cosmetic injectable treatment, and my interest in the industry slowly began to take form. In 2013, I began learning and educating myself about the injectables and in 2014, I decided to take a leap of faith and opened my own med spa! Over the years, as my practice has evolved, I have continued to learn and grow. I carried my love for education with me into my new business: I fell in love early on with attending injectable trainings, and knew that I wanted to give back to the community by becoming a Master Injector and expert in this industry.
Working with students through Urbane Aesthetiks Academy is my newest focus and passion. I am working to transform the world of cosmetic injectables by offering training courses for beginner as well as advanced injectors. At UA Academy, we are creating a space for new injectors to ask questions, receive mentorship, engage in a dynamic community of like-minded professionals, and put their skills to use!
So, here I am, almost a decade later: a busy mom of two young girls, and Founder and Owner of Urbane Aesthetiks and Urbane Aesthetiks Academy! When I am not spending time with my family or running my business, I am deeply invested in growth and development and enjoy being an active part of the Dallas community. I am truly living my dream each and every day. I have the privilege of working with beautiful individuals and empowering them to take control of their lives and their well-being.
No matter what your reason for visiting, at Urbane Aesthetiks you will feel welcomed, heard, and cared for. We pride ourselves in our healthy, balanced approach to aesthetics, and always seek to highlight each client’s unique beauty!
