Q: How long do neurotoxin injections last?

A: On average, neurotoxin injections last about 3-4 months. We recommend that our patients be committed to coming in for treatment 2-3 times per year. At minimum, we recommend that patients come in every 6 months--otherwise, the treatment will ultimately not be worth the money.

Q: How long does dermal filler last?

A: On average, most hyaluronic acid fillers last for about 12 months. We recommend that our patients come in annually for a touch-up.

Q: What are the potential side effects of neurotoxin injections?

A: The most common side effects of neurotoxin injections are bleeding and bruising, swelling at the injection site (should disappear within an hour post-injection), and slight burning that should disappear after the injection. Other potential side effects include headache and eyelid or brow ptosis when treating the forehead and glabellar lines.

Q: What are the potential side effects of dermal filler injections?

A: Potential side effects of dermal filler injections include vascular events (occlusions), ophthalmic events, and infection. It is imperative that you work with an injector who has an open-door communication policy so that you are able to contact them urgently in the case of an adverse event related to dermal filler treatment.

Q: Will I still look natural/like myself/etc. after receiving injectable treatments?

A: Yes! When neurotoxins and dermal fillers are administered conservatively and appropriately, they only help to enhance what is already there! We are all about celebrating your unique, individual beauty, so you will always leave feeling confident, beautiful, and like yourself--just without any wrinkles

Q: Who is a good candidate for neurotoxin injections?

A: Anyone who notices static wrinkles (wrinkles when their face is at rest) is a candidate for neurotoxin treatments! However, anyone over the age of 18 can receive neurotoxin injections in order to decrease dynamic wrinkles.

Q: Who is a good candidate for dermal filler injections?

A: Anyone who wants to improve their facial balance and symmetry is an excellent candidate for dermal filler treatments. Patients who are experiencing mid-face volume loss will also benefit greatly from dermal filler.
