CARRIE NEMEH, RN BSN

PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) treatment for hair loss is a similar procedure to PRP, but with some differences. PRF involves using the patient's blood to create a fibrin matrix that contains a higher concentration of platelets, growth factors, and other beneficial proteins compared to PRP. This matrix is then injected into the scalp to promote hair growth and improve hair density.

The main advantage of PRF over PRP is that the fibrin matrix helps to release growth factors gradually over a longer period of time, providing sustained stimulation to the hair follicles. This can potentially lead to better and longer-lasting results.

PRF treatment for hair loss is a minimally invasive procedure that is typically performed in a medical office. It is important to consult with a qualified healthcare professional to determine if PRF treatment is suitable for your specific condition and to discuss the potential benefits and risks.
